In Panama there are seven ethnic groups and five comarcas, or indigenous districts, that are the guardians of our origins.

-Emberá- Wounaan: live in the province of Darién.

-Guna: live on the islands of the Guna Yala Comarca, Madungandi on Lake Bayano, and Wargandi in the province of Darién.

-Ngäbe-Buglé: live in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca spread across the 3 Panamanian provinces of Bocas del Toro, Veraguas and Chiriquí.

-Naso or Teribe: live on the border between Panama and Costa Rica.

-Bri-Bri: live on the border between Panama and Costa Rica.
