The Deputy General Manager of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), Ernesto Orillac, inaugurated the Central American pavilions, among them the Panamanian stand, at the tourism fair FITUR in Madrid.

"News in Spain on the Panama Canal expansion have attracted much attention on aspects of Panama as a tourist destination," declared Ernesto Orillac, Deputy General Manager of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) in their pavilion at the FITUR Fair in Madrid, Spain.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism Ernesto Orillac, on behalf of the Panama Tourism Authority, received the Excellency award at FITUR for implementing the Quality Certification System with tourism companies. 

Three couples dressed in the traditional pollera costume dance to folk music on the entertainment stage of Panama's pavilion. City Carnival Queen Virginia Hernández is also present, wearing her eye-catching crown.

Panama won its first Guinness World Record by bringing together 5,084 people, from children to adolescents, to paint a 7,000 square meter representation of the Panama Canal locks.
