Colón Island

Located northwest of Panama City, we can find Colón lsland, which serves as the capital of Bocas del Toro. This island is recognized as the fourth largest in the country, and stores some of the best waves and beaches.

Colón lsland has hotels, restaurants, tourist information centers and various attractions, which can be appreciated on tours by the famous water taxis, observing the city made up of colorful floating homes.

A pleasant atmosphere is felt upon arriving at Colón lsland and hearing live music. A full menu selection of seafood, meats and delicious salads, accompanied by the best bars, both outdoors and inside the range of hotels, invite visitors to try a different experience .

One of the attractions you can visit is the Monkey Farm, a magnificent botanical garden that features a wide collection of heliconias, ginger, palm trees, flowers, fruits, spices and ornamental plants. It is located 10 minutes from the town of Bocas, just after the Smithsonian Institution, on the summit of IDAAN. The farm spans the island from coast to coast with impressive views, whether eastward, toward the Bocas del Toro archipelago or westward towards the mountainous peninsula, with the turquoise blue Caribbean inbetween.
