Over time, the locals began to say, when referring to the town, 'let's go to the painted house, let's go to La Pintada'.
La Pintada is based on production of the famous Panama hat, as well as their own, well- recognized local style, the Painted hat. La Pintada is recognized for its developments in the field of agriculture and tourism. In the northern area coffee and oranges are grown. It has a health center, agricultural high school and elementary schools.
Location:
It borders the Gulf of Panama south, the province of Colón to the north and the province of Panama to the east.
How to arrive?
Car: Take the Interamerican Highway, and upon reaching Penonomé, come to the Simon Bolivar Park in Penonomé, where you take the road that goes past the police station. From there it is another approximately 15 kilometers, on an interesting road that offers views of the natural landscape, before reaching La Pintada.
Bus: The La Pintada Panama bus leaves from the Albrook terminal and takes approximately two hours and 15 minutes to arrive at this destination.
