Hiking

Panama has over 500 official trails, with signs and maintenance done by the State, across the country.

The Metropolitan Park in the center of the city, you can walk for up to four hours on trails that let you see

• Toucans

• Monkeys

• Innumerable birds

• vThe tropical rainforests.

In the same city, you can hike for 10 kilometers.

Camino de Cruces, a path that was used by the Spaniards to transport their goods on mule back, crossing from one ocean to the other.

El Valle de Antón has numerous trails that are excellent for walking.

Many pass by gorgeous rivers and waterfalls, and others take you up mountain sides.

You can climb La India Dormida range and take a break in the cave that corresponds to her navel. Or you can go up Gaital Hill and take in the sight of the two oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic, from a single spot on a cloudless day.

Another option is to take a peaceful stroll behind the Hotel Campestre to see the phenomenal and unique square-shaped trees.

The Altos de Campana National Park is 60 kms drive from Panama City, and consists of wonderful and imposing mountains, among which we can mention:
