Full of flavors

An event that activated all of your senses was the Gastronomy Fair, which was held this past weekend. That special skill for preparing delicious food was combined with the talents of art and creativity. To make those delicious desserts or decorate the foods requires not only knowing how to cook, but also having a creative and artistic touch. Could be seen Butter sculptures by the chef Yuri Cifuentes were on exhibition. It took him three weeks, with the help of his students, to sculpt the art forms, using 70 pounds of butter.

Other food and artwork were also on display, such as baked goods covered in icing. One delicious pastry was the "red devil", made by Jenny Ho from Delicatesse Desserts, who was assisted by two other creative pastrycook friends to add the finishing touches of dyed sugar to color the "devil" red.

The route of flavor

Meanwhile, Jairo Jiménez gave some Panamanian flavor to the fair. The chef of The Devils restaurant presented a suckling pig in the Los Santos style, with pot-cooked tamale and fried ripe plantain.

There certainly were also samples of delicious drinks and exhibits of all the gadgets to complete a well-equipped kitchen. There was even space for attendees to cook their own cake.
