Location:
It is located in western Panama, and is crossed from west to east by the Central Range, which separates it into two geographic regions. The Atlantic or Caribbean region is 40% covered by primary forest and the rivers are short but large. The Pacific region is heavily deforested and most of the rivers drain into the sea.
How to arrive?
Plane: A flight from the Marcos A. Gelabert airport in Panama City to the airport in Chiriqui or Bocas del Toro will take from 45 to 55 minutes.
Car: If you drive by highway directly from the capital, it should take from 6 to 8 hours, depending on which part of the indigenous territory you plan to visit.
