Formal presentation of a new sport by the Rugby Association

The Ravens Rugby Club invite you to the public in general to the first Rugby international tournament, the Copa Independencia, in the form of a "Rugby Union" was held on Thursday 1st November, 2012 in Balboa Stadium, 6: 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m.

The sport of Rugby has been practiced in Panama for decades, and has grown in popularity in recent years, especially since it has been reintroduced to the Olympic disciplines in the form of "Rugby Sevens."

The first competition was two teams, the visitor is "La Pre Rugby Tv" Tucumán, Argentina and a mixed group of members of the Panama, called Babaa's Rugby clubs.
