The novenas began on Friday the 16th of this month in the St. James Cathedral, where thus far around one hundred statues of the virgin on decorated platforms have arrived from various neighborhoods in the district, universities, public enterprise and private companies.
Like every year, devotees of the Virgin Mary go to great lengths to participate with their little statues of the virgin, putting all of their efforts and creativity in adorning each one.
The priest Tadeo González stated that people are increasingly reflecting their faith and unity in the miraculous medal, and that this celebration in Veraguas draws the liturgical year to a close.
