Grand inauguration of the exhibition of photo and video

"Route of Giants"

Albatros Media Foundation

"Route of Giants: Whales in the City" began its installation next to the Panama Canal yesterday. The exhibition will go on tour across our region to promote non-lethal ways to enjoy these iconic animals, such as responsible whale-watching tourism.

Albatros Media Foundation is sharing a selection of photos and videos that reflect the grandeur of these cetaceans as a call to action for their conservation, noting that the whales are born in Panama's waters.

The oceans were never as indispensable as they are today. The scenic beauty and rich wildlife they contain are a precious resource for nature tourism, which shows itself to be an opportunity to experience economic growth in an environmentally friendly manner. Upon the decline of commercial fishing worldwide, eco-tourism based on whale-watching that is regulated and responsible provides a sustainable source of potential income for coastal villages.

"Route of Giants" is an exhibition set up outside the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center and in Room 2. The photographs and videos displayed by the Albatros Media Foundation are a visual call for advocacy to protect the lives of these magnificent creatures.
