Tourists are welcomed
The year 2013 will be challenging for Panamanian tourism, particularly the hospitality industry. Hotel occupancy fell 10 points in 2012, and there were not enough tourist arrivals to fill the rooms that have been recently built.

Authorities and the private sector recognize the importance of attracting more visitors, now that this year at least five new hotels will enter the market.
