Francisco Santamaría, a member of SINAPROC, noted that lifeguard staff will be present on the weekends at beaches like Las Lajas, La Barqueta, Las Mellizas and Setero Rico until 5:00 in the evening to ensure the safety of swimmers.
“During this dry season, thousands of people travel to the rivers, beaches and swimming spots to enjoy family vacations. We will be vigilant across the province to prevent any casualties,” he said.
Abelardo Serrano, regional director of SINAPROC, advises the population to follow the recommendations of the security forces and to avoid entering the sea if intoxicated.
He assured that the national police and municipal authorities have coordinated the presence of a lifeguard to watch over these vacation spots.
