Mayerlys heading to Curaçao
Mayerlys García will represent Panama as Miss Folklore and Carnival Panama at the International Carnival Queen, to be held from January 24 to March 1 this year on the Caribbean island of Curaçao.

This is the first time that Panama is participating in this beauty pageant. The academy Events and Talent House reserved her a place in this event.

García will don a fantasy and carnival-inspired costume and an evening gown, designed by Jorge Crespo.

The first place winner will take home a $10,000 cash prize, the runner up will receive $7,000 and the third place finalist will be awarded $3,000.
