Celebrating the Year of the Snake, 35 artists from China will be brought to perform on stage:

-Chinese lion dances on pipes over 3 meters high

-Martial arts students of the Shaolin Millennial Temple

-Acrobatic groups

-Magicians

-Dancers and singers

-Spectacular fireworks show as finale of this celebration on Sunday the 10th

Zen Center of Shaolin Martial Arts

Martial arts or Kung Fu Shaolin is known worldwide for its spectacular and showy movements. Now, thanks to the Guangdong Chinese Association of Panama and the Zen Center of Shaolin Martial Arts, we will be able to watch the first live performance of the Shaolin masters in Panama.

The Zen Center of Martial Arts is an institution founded by the International Zen Federation of Martial Arts and the Institute of Guangdong Chinese Professionals Abroad. Since its founding, Shaolin masters and experts in martial arts around the world have organized various camps and workshops so that hundreds of youth living overseas may learn martial art, as well as performances in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries.

Now, for the 2013 Chinese New Year Festival that will take place on February 9 and 10 in Atlapa, organized by the Guangdong Chinese Association of Panama, we will have the opportunity to see performances by these great martial art masters in person, an opportunity you can not miss.

CHINESE LION DANCE

Two lions will come from China, operated by dancers who will perform acrobatic movements while propped up on over three meter high iron tubes.

PANAMANIAN FOLKORIC DANCES 

Strengthening the bonds of friendship between Panama and China and seeking to create a cultural interchange between the two countries, an essential feature on the show program is performances by national folk groups of children, youth and adults.

FIREWORKS

A pyrotechnic display is a quintessential part of the Chinese New Year celebration every year, so we invite you to witness this magnificent fireworks show.
