Relic of Pope John Paul II travels diocese of Penonomé

Almost 30 years after Pope John Paul II visited Panama, Justo Ovalle, the peasant who was responsible for welcoming him that day of March 5, 1983, recalls that special moment.
Once again, the Pope is visiting Panama, or at least in part. A drop of his blood stored in a reliquary, which is venerated by hundreds of peasants, has this time reached the remote community of Rincón de Las Palmas, in Penonomé. For several weeks this relic of the beatified John Paul II has been brought to several parishes within the diocese of Penonomé.
