COASTAL STRIP
What is the Coastal Strip in Panama?
The Coastal Strip is the new seaside toll-free transit project, with 4 lanes for cars extending from Balboa Avenue by the Seafood Market to Punta Paitilla by the Multímetro Shopping Mall.
There are over 8 soccer courts and playgrounds, 5 gazebos and 1 bike lane for recreational activities. The area is adorned with fountains and ponds, landscaped with tropical trees and plants, and graced by a statue of the discoverer of the South Sea, Vasco Nuñez de Balboa
How do I reach the Coastal Strip?
The Coastal Strip can be accessed from the following streets and avenues:
Central Avenue: begins at the intersection with Avenue A in the Old Town, continues to the Santa Ana Park and ends at 42nd Street in the township of Bella Vista, which is where Spain Road begins.

Northern Corridor: after the first toll booth by the Brisas del Golf neighborhood, follow the signs to take the exit onto the PanAmerican Highway, and from there take the detour on route 40 Bella Vista that leads to Balboa Avenue.
Southern Corridor: if you are coming from the airport, take the bypass by the Hotel Riande Aeropuerto to access the Southern Corridor freeway. After the first toll booth at Versalles - Costa del Este, continue until reaching the last toll booth at the Atlapa Convention Center, where you will immediately see the tunnel that links to Balboa Avenue.
