Along with those held in Colombia, Mexico and Chile, this is the most important golf tournament in Latin America, with up to US $600,000.00 in prize money.
The official tournament inauguration was attended by Ricardo Chanis (Epasa President), Roberto Durán Jr. (tournament director), Francisco Arias (honoree), Nixia Lasso (ATP), Héctor Carrasquilla (Mayor of San Miguelito), Óscar Borda (Claro CEO), Marty Caffey (PGA Tour) and Ramón Crespo (CGP).
This international competition has registered 145 Tour players, including many PGA Tour golfers such as Shaun Micheel, Rich Been and Peter Lonard, which reaffirms our country's reputation in this sporting arena.
