The annual event aims to raise environmental awareness by exhibiting endangered animals and those native to the region. Hundreds of people attend the event each year, in 2013 scheduled to take place from March 14 to 17.
Basilio Pérez, president of the fair board, said they will have a nature path for visitors to learn more about the forested area's fauna and flora.
Eliécer Cortez, the mayor of Macaracas, figured that some $8,000 is needed to put on the fair activity.
