Tortoises return

Every two or three years, between the months of August and November, thousands of marine turtoises massively arrived to Panama coasts, to lay eggs in the same beaches they were born.  These huge quelonios – of the tortoiseshell, baula, green, caguama, prieta and loro species travel enormous distances in the sea to arrive to the great extensions of beaches in the country’s islands and coasts, to lay egges in the sand at night.  For lovers of nature’s mysteries, this is a marvelous and fascinating spectacle.
