The unexplored seas of Darien

It was through Darien that the Spanish conquerors discovered the Pacific Ocean, entering and going through the wild tropical jungle that still exists in that province. It is a remote and unknown land that for many decades was the land of the “cimarrones”, slaves who escaped and ran to the jungle and settled there. The access to this land was possible only by sea.  Through this land the conquerors discovered the treasures of the Darien coasts, covered by jungle mangroves rich in biodiversity, and form the immense and exuberant flora and fauna of the Darien jungle.  The scenery of this land is very awesome and becomes and unimaginable enjoyment to those who tour in small cruisers, some of them very luxurious, who navigate the waters of the great rivers surrounding this wild land. Since the middle of the last century, the seas of Darien are frequented by famous tourists who love swordfish and marlin fishing.
