In next the two months the international campaign “Stop Over” will start, the purpose of this campaign is to offer greater convinience for passengers in transit through Panama. The campaign is mainly for those passengers traveling with Copa Airlines through Panama only for a couple of days. One of the main advantages of this campaign is that travelers using Copa Airlines to travel through Panama will not have to pay an extra fee which is currently effective. Nevertheless, this benefit has not been publicized, according to Salomón Shamah, administrator of the Authority of Tourism of Panama.

The campaign has already been approved by the Panamanian Government and Copa Airlines but is yet to be publicly communicated to hotels and tourist operators so that those who comply with the offer receive their beneficial tarriffs. Annually, near 2,5 million passengers use Panama´s Tocumen Airport as a connection point when traveling to other destinations.
