The Authority of Tourism of Panama (ATP) and COPA airlines announced that a Boeing 737-800 of the airline will take to the name of Panama and the logo of the butterfly, symbol from the country at international level. The logo, will unfold on the fuselage of the airplane that, will take the emblem of our country all over the continent along with the Internet address www.visitpanama.com.
The hangar of COPA Airlines in the Tocumen International Airport was the scene where authorities and representatives of the national tourism occurred to appointment to be present at the develación of the airplane that will take the name of our country by the stop. The butterfly is emblem of the Web site www.visitpanama.com, of the Authority of Tourism Panama, and symbol of the new image of the tourist promotion that is being carried out to international level.
The Minister of Tourism of Panama, Salomón Shamah, commented: “we love that the world will be a witness to what we are doing in Panama for tourism. Thousands of Panamanians are working arduously to make of our country a tourist destiny par excellence. And the fact that the logo is unfolded in an airplane of the Panamanian airline Leader of aviation in Latin America it fills to us of pride”. On the other hand, the Vice President of Relations with Governments of COPA Airlines, Moisés Véliz, indicated that to take this logo in one of the airplanes of the fleet of the airline “it is the contribution that makes COPA Airlines to support the efforts of the ATP par excellence to continue positioning to our country as the tourist and commercial destiny and the favourite by the travellers”. The design of the logo is inspired, on the one hand, in the meaning of the name of Panama: “abundance of fish and butterflies”. On the other hand, the diversity of colors that adorn the symbol, represents the crucible of races that is Panama, besides giving him to vistosidad and joy to the name of our country. This airship of COPA will take from, February the colors of Panama, an amazing and fascinating country. A country of resistances formed by multiple atmospheres that make it diverse and different in their history, culture and geography and that surprise the world.
