8 of December Park, in the city of Penonomé, will become a great outdoors art gallery. This place will welcome the pictorial works of more than one hundred Panamanian and foreign authors and artists. Here, they will demonstrate, once again, that in Panama art arrives in all the towns.

 

This is the fifth version of the artistic celebration denominated Art in the Park. Activity, that from the 8:00 a.m. to the 4:00 p.m., of Saturday 12 of February, is made with the purpose of collecting funds to grant scholarships to students of Technicians in Plastic Arts at national level.

 

But what else is Art in the Park: Gonzalo Garci'a, one of the organizers, says it is a few steps from becoming a foundation. This is because once it becomes a foundation, it tries to take other cultural projects that benefit the rural schools of the district of Penonomé. This cultural celebration will initiate from Friday 11, to the 7:00 p.m., with the concert of the teacher Victor (Vitín) Paz and his Grand Orchestra, sponsored by the Vicerrectoría de Extensión of the University of Panama. Gonzalo hopes that, like in previous years, this occasion the population takes care of the call, since as well as the artists need that she endorses them to the public, the community also requires of cultural spaces.
