Panama touts itself as a tourist destination at Israel's IMTM 2013

Panama participated for the first time at the activity with a promotional stand for the country brand, under the auspices of the Panama Tourism Authority, Panama Embassy in Israel, and Copa's newest representative in Israel, Open Sky.

As part of this event, Ambassador Aparicio and Tania Shgi of the Polaris Group led a tourism seminar directed to retail agencies, wholesalers, and social media.

At the meeting, the attendees were informed of the wide range of attractions and benefits that Panama offers, mentioning its tourist health insurance, ethnicities, beaches, the stopover that permits Copa passengers in transit to stay in Panama, free access to Atlapa for convention groups, the new Amador Convention Center, the Panama Canal expansion, its new overlook at Gatún, and destinations such as Bocas del Toro, Chiriquí, Veraguas, Pedasí, and El Valle.
