After considering several good offers, the ISA (International Surfing Association) as well as Billabong are happy to announce next years event’s location. Fernando Aguirre President of ISA said, “Panama’s waves are exceptional and after the great success of Panama ISA World Masters Surfing Championship in 2010 we are eager to take one of the most important world championships to Panama’s tropical climate and powerful waves. The ISA has high expectations for the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games 2011 in this surfer’s paradise”.

Panama’s perfect and consistent waves all year round, on the Pacific coast as well as on the Atlantic side, and its warm tropical weather make it an ideal setting for this high level Surfing Championship. It will bring some of the best surfers in the world.

The ISA is proud to be working with the surfing industry’s leading brand, Billabong, for this event of Olympic magnitude. This event is representative of surf’s global growth. It is important for Billabong to work in conjunction with the ISA in the games organization and implementation to take place in Panama’s excellent waves and with its beautiful people in 2011.”
