Interview with the Chief of the Emberá Quera Village

Our region is already well-known worldwide for its culture, direct interaction with nature, and ancestral traditions. These are the transparent objectives of travelers in search of this lifestyle, where they can take souvenirs and memorable experience of this adventure.

On this occasion, we were fortunate to be visited by the Canadian journalist Maggie Padlweka, who owns and manages a website called “One Year One World.” Through this website, Maggie provides the less known communities the opportunity to share their stories and culture with the world and educate and inspire the youth and adults to think about reducing the communication gap with these people, who maintain a rich tradition.

All the stories are edited and produced where the interviews take place, and then, uploaded to the internet. This provides the opportunity to cherish Maggie’s journey around the world: one year, 52 countries, one country per week.
