Direct flights to Bocas del Toro

Starting from June, there will be direct flights from abroad to Isla Colon, in Bocas del Toro as final destination, said the Administrator of the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), Solomon Shamah.

Shamah stated that “we will incorporate it [this destination] with the Copa Vacaciones,” as part of a national air connectivity project that seeks to promote tourist arrivals into the interior of the country

New Destinations

Yesterday, the directors of the Panamanian Aviation Company (Copa Airlines) reported the first 4 new destinations for this year: Recife (Brazil), Las Vegas (USA), Curaçao, and Liberia in Guanacaste (Costa Rica).

Pedro Heilbron, President of Copa Airlines, said that "on average, we're hiring 100 people every month" and the company operates in Tocumen International Airport from 6:00am to 10:00pm, which further positions the country as the "Hub of the Americas."
