Miss France paid a visit to Panama as part of our promotional strategy for the  Canal's centennial celebration, together with the recent opening of an Air France flight to the country.


- Prestigious international golfers will be playing in the tournament at the Panama Golf Club from March 19 to 23, 2014.

On March 15th the 2nd Pollera Congo Festival will be held in the town of Portobelo, Colón. The event, organized by the Portobelo Foundation and Cultural Heritage Preservation Group, will feature displays of crowns, garments, costumes, crafts, photographs, jewelry, and a full spread of local cuisine. 

From March 26 to 29, 2014, Panama will host the XII Central American and Caribbean Conference for State Decentralization and Local Development (CONFEDELCCA), under the theme "Decentralization, Development of Local Tourism, and Public Private Partnerships". 

A group of the best chefs in the region will gather in Panama to cook an enormous paella to feed 500 people, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the construction of the Panama Canal and in an attempt to break a world record.

Panama took advantage of their carnival, considered one of the best in the region, to reveal a slice of their diverse folklore to the tourists visiting the country. 

Fifteen Panamanian companies, together with the Tourism Authority, are marketing products in Panama's pavilion at the ITB in Berlin, the world's largest tourism trade fair.

Open Call for Submissions Hayah 2014

The Hayah International Short Film Festival, the only festival in Central America that annually exhibits exclusively the short film format, will be accepting submissions from February 10 to April 30.
