When the Gunas learned about Western cooking, they melded elements with their traditional cuisine.

The Gunas discovered Western cuisine after the Tule Revolution. The U.S. government allowed the Gunas to work in the Canal Zone, a labor prohibited for other Panamanians. One of their duties was as cooks for the zone. Even today, many restaurants in the area trust the gastromic skills of the Gunas.

Enjoy the food of this ancestral tribe, where centuries may go by but the magic of their traditions remain.
