The number of tourists from cruise ships in Panama registered a 29.6% growth in 2011in comparison with 2010, increasing from 331,200 to 429,275, according to a report recently published by the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP).

According to the report, the largest disembarkation was in the month of January 2011, with the arrival of 70,281 tourists
