According to the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), the entity supervising these activities, the conclave that was broadcast on television on five continents is considered the most important of the year, as it injected an estimated B/. 5 million into the Panamanian economy and generated 20,000 hotel nights.
Parallel to this conference, the Second Tourism Security Conference of the Americas was held in the Atlapa Convention Center for five days and four nights and attended by 500 people. Meanwhile, the Trump hotel hosted the 2013 annual meeting on sales and marketing of Preferred Hotel, an international company dedicated to providing technology, sales, and marketing solutions that has a portfolio of 650 hotels around the world.
The general manager of the ATP, Salomón Shamah, indicated that through these types of events they seek to surpass the 120,000 hotel nights achieved thus far, thanks to the strategic initiatives proposed by the authority responsible for promoting Panama as one of the world's top destinations.
