City Carnival Queen visits the National Police

Every year the Panamanian Carnival grows as a cultural, economic and tourist event of great importance at the national and international level. With the approach of these festivities, the National Police headquarters were honored on Thursday, January 24 by a visit from Her Majesty Virginia Hernández, Queen of Carnival of the City 2013, accompanied by her princesses Nabil González and Rocío Lezcano.

The City Carnival representatives were received in the office of General Director Julio Moltó, who guaranteed their personal safety, as well as the security of every one of the thousands of Panamanians and foreigners who will attend the events across the country, to be celebrated from Friday, February 9 to Tuesday the 12th.

Our queen of the capital visited several offices within the police station, among them the National Directorate of Operations, where they were explained the operation and planning that will take place during the Carnival festivities. They also visited the facilities of DIP and UCM, where Her Majesty Virginia Hernández took the opportunity to thank the members of the institution for all of their effort, willingness and support provided.

This opportunity can also be taken to urge the general public to enjoy and to enjoy safely, in family, these festivities full of splendor and good cheer. We also ask those who will participate in this Carnival 2013 to serve as the first ring of security, so that we may all enjoy a safe carnival.
